⫸ THE JOURNEY
We are calling all women who are ready to journey deep into themselves to uncover their deepest longings and set themselves free from what no longer aligns. Using the powerful time of the solstice together with dreamwork, shadow work, mythology, astrology, land journeys, herbal alchemy, somatic practices and silence, we will be journeying together for 6 days with the transformational energy present on the island.  Helping you to go deep, to reset, to transform and rediscover what it means to be YOU and live your life more FULLY.

 

The island of Samothraki has fostered deep transformations for humans since the ancient times. The whole island is full of ancient feminine power that aims to align you more fully with who you really are and what kind of life are you meant to be living in this lifetime.

 

We will be co-creating with the fire energy of the solstice sun to aid transmutation of what is no longer serving you and the water energy from the rivers which flow from the mountains to cleanse and aid renewal. Feeling into the transformational energy and aligning to your authentic self. Land journeys through the mountain hillsides and deep valleys will take us into a mythical landscape where the ancient rocks and trees come alive... Bathing in the crystal clear waters of the streams and rivers, diving into the warm sea under the moon and stars. Moving our bodies to untangle, release and create true connection with self.

 

 

⫸ THE ISLAND
A natural wonder of mountain peaks, fresh water pools to bathe in, magical centuries old forests and encircled by the sea. Every winter, the landscape dramatically goes through it’s own transformation as the storms entrench the earth.

Since ancient times the island of Samothraki has attracted seekers. In Ancient Greece, she was a place of great fame and travellers came from afar to take part in mystery initiations at the Sanctuary of the Great Gods, whose stones still hold the memories. The myths say that Harmonia, the goddess of harmony was born and married on the island. Electra, a star-nymph lived on Mount Saos also known as Fengari 'moon’ as it's from behind the mountain that the moon rises. One of the Pleiades, she was transformed into a star by Zeus. And the land whispers many more stories to those who listen. She is an island who has welcomed those who seek initiation, transformation and mystery.

 

Our home for the week will be in the village of Therma (from the Greek word Therme meaning heat). The only place on the island where the elements of fire and water marry together to create hot springs.

 

 

⫸ YOUR GUIDES
Rose Wicksteed & Tiina Urm

 

Rose and Tiina met four years ago on the Island during the wildly transformational year of 2020 and since then have both independently and together journeyed with this land and her energy.

 

Tiina was a driven career-woman, working many years for NGO-s, Public and private enterprises, leading international projects and campaigns one after another, until a big burnout made her question her deeper motivations and patterns. In the following years she deep-dived into herself, learning and practicing different healing modalities and shamanic practices, shadow work, tantra, Taro, dreamwork, hatha yoga, psychology. She went through many deep nights of the soul and transformations, arriving home to herself, soul, heart and body. While on the way, also discovering her deep passion for helping others do the same. Tiina now works as a freelance strategic consultant for companies and also consults individuals and couples, she is currently on the way of becoming a jungian analyst.

 

Rose has worked creatively for the past 20 years across international film and television projects. Consumed by ambition and the fast-paced nature of society, she worked non-stop until her body and spirit started to shout 'No'. This led her on a deep journey of embracing many healing modalities and on exploring the relationship between mind, body, soul and the natural world - and weaving this back into her creative work.  In the past 13 years she has studied spiritual, shamanic and embodiment practices including The Non-Linear Movement Method®, breath-work, womb healing, ceremonial cacao, self-pleasure & Somatic Trauma Therapy. Alongside these practices, she is an eternal student of the island, having fallen in love with her and following a whisper which led her to becoming the guardian of an old olive farm. A four year journey of devotion to a wildly magical being. Rose loves inspiring and empowering others to remember their truth and the original spring of their art, through listening deeply to life.

 

 

⫸ STAY & EAT
Accommodation and meals are not provided and are to be arranged separately. Allowing for you to choose your own level of comfort & finance in which to join the journey. There are many air bnb’s, domatia (rooms) and small hotels close to our home base. And if you like the idea of immersing yourself more deeply into nature or you are on a limited budget, camping is also possible. We can provide recommendations of local accommodation. Average prices for June are 50-60 euros per night per room.

 

Our home base will be an old rustic stone building with a garden between the mountains, river and the sea in the heart of Therma. There are taverna’s and small supermarkets within a short walking distance and so there will be the option to eat as a group or if you prefer more solo time to integrate.

 

We suggest that you plan to arrive at least 1 day prior to the start of the retreat, allowing some time to acclimatise to the island and rest from the travel.
